Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
The annual IOOF pilgrimage is a solemn ceremony where a representative from each State symbolically lays a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, reflecting the community support that the Odd Fellows membership fosters. The IOOF is the only fraternal organization allowed to conduct a pilgrimage to this hallowed site, an honor bestowed upon us in 1934 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, emphasizing the philosophical lessons of remembrance and respect.
